Career Exploration and Networking Treks are a unique opportunity for current Scripps students to connect with alumnae, meet high-quality employers, and gain exposure to top professionals across the country. Clarify the next steps of your career journey while expanding your networking. Typical treks span 3 days and include 90-minute company visits with up to 3 organizations per day and one alumnae networking reception.

CP&R also hosts local treks on Fridays throughout the school year.

Application due 11:59pm Wednesday January 31

Student Requirements and Eligibility

Eligible students must be a currently enrolled undergraduate student at Scripps College. Participants are selected based on quality of application and their expressed interest in or connection to the destination city. Priority will be giving to students on financial aid. Final cohorts will ideally represent the breadth of Scripps student talent, intellect, and curiosity.

Students must submit a current resume, short-essay application, and attend an pre-trek orientation and/or interview. Once selected, participants must attend the mandatory group kick-off event and commit to full participation in all scheduled visits and activities including daily debrief meetings during the trek.

Scripps College is grateful for community members that have come forward to help underwrite the cost of these events. Lodging, most meals, and transportation are provided for the duration of the Trek. Participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the destination city.

The Inaugural Trek

Read more about our inaugural Bay Area Tech Trek. "Participants say the trip opened their eyes to the benefits of a liberal arts education. They learn how their time at Scripps is preparing them for life after college."

Special thanks to the Scripps College alumnae and family hosts at each company.
